How to Eliminate Distractions
Students, here is how to eliminate distractions & get into the zone!
Are you easily distracted? Is there so many things going on around you that you have a tough time getting into the zone and studying for exams? Many people wish to experience calm while busily working more than 40 hours a week. But tranquility seems to elude them because there’s so much going on so it’s hard to eliminate distractions and mental clutter. By getting in the zone, you’ll become much more productive and you’ll accomplish more with less time.
If you are attending college, this will help improve your college success rate, you’ll even impress your teachers and possibly find yourself in a much stronger financial position after you’ve graduated. Are you ready to learn how to get in the zone? If so, please consider the suggestions I am about to mention and use them to achieve greater levels of focus in the hustle and bustle of large crowds.
1. Make Entering the Zone a Habit Through Practice
When we want to get better at a particular life skill, the only way to achieve our goals is to practice on a regular basis. This is true in all situations including baking cupcakes, riding a bicycle, and entering into the zone. In the beginning, you’ll have a tough time getting into the zone on a consistent basis. But if you continue to practice over and over each day – especially while you are heavily distracted – you’ll eventually get the hang of it through consistent repetition and practice.
As an example, let’s say you’re trying to experience better focus while studying for an exam. You’re at home and there are literally hundreds of things going on around you and it’s destroying your focus. If you’re in a chair, stand up, take a deep breath, and focus your thoughts inward. If you do this enough times, you’ll block out the distracting things going on around you and you’ll pay more attention to the things you need to do in a classroom setting.
2. Spend Time Relaxing & Lowering Stress Levels
The best way to regularly enter the zone is to relax as often as possible. If you are experiencing tremendous levels of stress, it will be nearly impossible to focus on the task at hand. You’ll be so worried about the stressful situations going on in your life and you’ll never be able to focus on your work.
If your life is so stressful you’d never consider entering the zone, it’s time to start relaxing and doing some activities that will help you with that. If you don’t have enough money to pay for a trip to get away for awhile, you can always go for a hike. All you need is some hiking gear and good will to get you going!
3. Keep Practicing Getting in the Zone
Last but certainly not least, consistent daily practice is the best way to guarantee you’ll enter the zone when you need to the most. Work on this every time you have classes. Besides that, work on it in the school, at college ,at home, while you’re waiting in the grocery store, and anywhere else you can think of. It’s certainly worth it to consistently practice on a daily basis. You’ll feel better, less stressed, and more focused due to your consistent effort.
so far, Klaudia
