How To Reduce The Signs Of Aging
Signs Your Face is Aging and What to Do About
It might not seem like it when we are in our early 20’s, but we all age eventually. It is so easy not to look after your skin when you are younger, but we become more aware of it as we see the visible sign of ageing. But there are things that we can do about it, read on to find out more.
Wrinkles
Wrinkles are the most common signs of ageing that we have to deal with. They are caused by a loss of elasticity in the skin. Wrinkles often occur around the mouth area, in the corner of the eyes or across the forehead. The beauty industry is full of products that are designed to reduce the appearance of these lines. You can get day creams, night creams, freezing creams and face masks.
Or you can go for medical procedures like chemical face peels or botox treatments. The medical procedures are more expensive, but have a better success rate and last for longer. Opinion on the cream options available differ, so ask around and see which ones are recommended to you. Whichever treatment you choose, make sure that you combine it with a healthy lifestyle to maximise and maintain the results.
One of the signs of ageing that many people remain unaware of is the loss of fat at the temples. This can cause a nasty, skeletal look, and is caused by the lack of fat deposits in that part of the face. Women with low body fat, in particular, suffer from this problem. It is mostly treated with facial filler injections to re-plump the areas and give a younger appearance.
Dark Spots
Dark or facial age spots are more commonly known as the symptom of skin ageing. They are caused by a concentration of melanin, the thing that gives your skin its pigment. These concentrations are the result of UV damage over time. So to prevent facial age spots always use an SPF moisturizer on a foundation on your face and cover your arms and legs unless you have sunscreen on.
Puffy Eye Bags
Puffy eye bags can become very common as skin ages. They are mainly attributed to a lack of sleep. But in fact, the skin around your eye stretches, so fat that was around your eye collects below it, giving it that puffy appearance. You can try the age-old method to treat puffy eye bags and lie with cold herbal tea bags or pieces of cucumber over the eyes. But there are some specially developed creams available that help the skin around the lower eye areas retain its elasticity.
Papery Complexion
A papery complexation is the last sign of skin ageing to be discussed. This is usually caused by a combination of the normal ageing process, poor nutrition and in some cases an overuse of steroid medication. If your diet isn’t good enough, your body won’t produce the things that keep your skin firm and healthy, like collagen and hyaluronic acid creams. Therefore to prevent your skin getting papery, treat it with cream that contains these ingredients.
“The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she knows.”

I had no idea that you could make your own serum. I’ve also noticed fat loss around my temples as I’ve aged. It’s not an area that you normally think of as a tell tale sign of an ageing face but it definitely is!
The key this working is being consistent with it. That is where I usually fail. I am going to check it out!
Honestly I don’t worry myself about this. I just try to do the best I can
I go VERY natural with the stuff I use on my face, and very basic. Cleanser and moisturizer – I don’t need more on my face because then it just gets unnatural!
I am told I look younger and I have to say I don’t really do anything special. Love and happiness corny but true. Good living keeps you young
