The Path To Wellness & Peace
• Benefits of Yoga and Meditation
Many people look to either meditation or yoga as the be-all, end-all way of decluttering their mind. While we certainly agree that it’s effective, it only works when you allow it to. It’s not a quick solution to a long-term problem. It’ll take many days, weeks and months to benefit from it properly, so be aware that you’ll need to commit. As long as you’re willing to do that, you’re likely to see the benefits.
“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.”
• Change your Thoughts to Change your Life
There is a whole range of books on the market dedicated to this topic. Browse your local bookstore, and you’re sure to find them. Ultimately, if you want to learn how to manifest your thoughts and improve your quality of life, this is a great way to do it. Sometimes, all it takes is a few words on a piece of paper to totally change your thoughts to change your life. The same could be said for videos and vlogs by others who have been through the struggle.
• Counselling Today
There are lots of different types of counselling today out there, and certain methods work better than others. Here’s the problem: you don’t know which method will work best for you. While CBT might be beneficial for some, mindfulness might be better for others. It’s worth a try if you think your symptoms have become ingrained in your current mindset, but don’t expect an easy fix.
• Change Of Scene
Sometimes, all it takes is a change of scene to declutter your mind. You might be stressing about the amount of work you need to complete, for example. Or, you might be worrying about the health of a family member or an important function you need to attend. Sitting at home and stewing in those bad thoughts isn’t going to help. A change of scene could be just the trick.
• Limit Incoming Information
If you want to declutter your mind, you need to stop cramming it with so much information. It’s a bit like filling up a jug of water. You can’t keep pouring the liquid out and replace it with more! So, stop gorging on TV and the internet. Stop taking on more work that will only make the problem worse. Allow your brain to relax and make sense of the information it already has.
• Slow It Down
In many cases, it comes down to this. There is a speed limit on the path to wellness and peace of mind. Those who have a cluttered mind are often busy workers and highly ambitious people. They don’t want to slow down, but it’s an important thing to do. Stop what you’re doing. Take some time out. Look after yourself and listen to your inner voice. Enough is enough! Just a few days of relaxation can make a massive difference to the way you view your life.

You know, I woke up this morning to so many social media notifications that it took me about 30 minutes to read over them all. I know that’s a good thing, considering, but none of it really made my day in particular. I think limiting incoming information may be the best bet for me at this point – I’m gonna have to find a way to do so (without falling behind, of course).
I would add go out and take a walk. When I was going through my divorce and going 250 mph it always helped me to get my head right.
Very good Gary !!! That is right , I HAVE to go for walkies with my little dog 3 times a day, these walks are definitely great for distraction and taking a deep breath! Thanks for coming over !!!
There is no decluttering my mind I could meditate around the clock. I do agree that these methods can help temporarily. I do shut things down and not care about every single thing.
YOU are in charge , depends all on yourself! I know , it is hard work , but you can learn that .I can now do that , just switch off , now I need MY time …and I won’t answer the phone or open the door. 😉
